Privacy Policy
This extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
How the extension works
- It displays real-time gold and precious-metal price quotes published on the public website 14950.com.
- Price data is retrieved by a plain request to that website's public homepage. No identifiers, settings or user information are ever sent with these requests.
- No other website or third-party server is accessed. There is no analytics, tracking, advertising or telemetry of any kind.
Local storage
- Your preferences — the products you star (watchlist), the alert threshold, and the refresh interval — are saved locally on your own device using the browser's built-in
chrome.storageAPI. - A cache of the most recent price quotes is kept locally so the popup opens instantly. This cache contains only public market data.
- All of this data never leaves your device and is removed when you uninstall the extension.
Notifications
- Desktop price alerts are generated entirely on your device, and only after you explicitly enable the alert bell and choose a threshold.
Children's privacy
The extension collects no data at all, and is not directed at children.
